Aaron Samuels is the author of Yarmulkes & Fitted caps, released by Write Bloody Publishing. He is the recipient of fellowships from Cave Canem, Asylum Arts, and the Millay Colony for the Arts. Samuels is a founding member of the Dark Noise Collective and ranked 3rd place at the Individual World Poetry Slam. Aaron grew up in Rhode Island and was a member of the 2006, 2007, and 2008 Providence Youth Poetry Slam teams, a coach of the 2011 Providence Youth Poetry Slam team, and a member of the 2012 Providence NPS Slam Team. He currently splits time between Los Angeles, New York, and Rhode Island.
