PROVSLAM YOUTH

Are you a young person that enjoys poetry? Do you feel like you have something more to say? Come on down to ProvSlam!

Within the poetry community being a youth means that you are between the ages of 14-19. When you slam in a Youth Slam you are competing for a spot on our Youth Team. We send our Youth Team to represent Providence at Brave New Voices (BNV), which is a national youth poetry competition!

Since the onset of COVID, we have paused sending teams to national tournaments. However, as of 2024, we’re working to change that! Stay tuned for further developments and news: sign up for our e-newsletter, and follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Here at ProvSlam, we believe that the youth are our future with voices that need to be heard. Youth deserve the opportunity to travel and experience new things. We try our best to provide this to our youth through poetry.
