About the Youth Slam:
Youth slams are open to all poets aged 19 years and younger. The slam is 2 rounds with no eliminations, so poets should have 2 poems prepared. Poems don't need to be memorized (you can read off a phone, paper, etc). Poems shouldn't be longer than 3 minutes. For youth, there's a 20 second grace period over 3 minutes before time penalties affect the score.

About the Open Mic:
Open to all writers and artists of all genres, and all ages. Bring your songs, stories, rants, poems, and friends. The stage is yours for 4 minutes.
